a bold spring



Wearing pastels in a Michigan thing is tough thing to get away with.

The weather is super unpredictable when it's not freezing, and everyone still wears their black down jackets over everything up until the beginning of May, just in case. Nothing looks more ridiculous than a pastel spring ensemble with a heavy down coat.

That's why I opt for saturated pastels. Bold colors that are a nice change from the neutrals of winter, but don't look out of place in 40 degree weather. Here's what I'm talking about:

art deco jewelry


Looking through my nana's jewelry is always a blast. Most of her broaches, necklaces, and rings cost her almost nothing, but are priceless and so rare today. That art deco style is everywhere and usually super expensive.
