The subject matter was inspired by parties back in the day when girls had their hair done and men were in suits and everyone was throwing confetti, listening to old records. The color aqua that was used for case of the record player reminds me of the 1950's.
I created this piece with the idea that I wanted something slightly 3-dimensional. Adding the gold confetti on top of the nostalgic painting gave it the happiness and modern touch I think it was missing.
