art | Dot Dot Dot

("Dot Dot Dot" is for sale! Please click {this} link if you want to see detailed information about this painting. Please leave a comment or email me at mollydaudlin@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing this piece.)

Since this week is all about family, this piece was created with the help of my dad. I was working on it at home on a Saturday afternoon, and I just thought it looked so generic. My dad came in my room and suggested that I add text. We stood there for a minute, and my dad came up with the idea of putting "Dot Dot Dot". He is notorious for flooding his emails and text messages with ellipses, and also, this painting is riddled with polka-dots. I added the perfect quirky and modern touch that it was lacking.

The two elephants, and the now the story behind the painting support the idea that the company of parents, friends, and siblings adds color, fun and inspiration into our everyday lives.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to share this painting I did for my boss' wife's birthday. He gave me a photograph of her after she just had her son, Teddy and I was so flattered to recreate such a beautiful picture.

If you are ever interested in having a photograph turned into a painting, I will happily oblige! Feel free to leave a comment or email me if you have any further questions :)
